Cyril Seely Slater (born March 27, 1897 in Montréal , Canada , † October 26, 1969 in Québec , Canada) was a Canadian ice hockey player . At the Olympic Winter Games in 1924 , he won the gold medal as a member of the Canadian national team.
Career
Cyril Slater began his career as a hockey player in his hometown with the Montreal Victorias , for which he was active from 1916 to 1933 in the amateur field. In 1924 he was also a short-term player for the Toronto Granites , with whom he represented Canada at the 1924 Winter Games. Following his ice hockey career, Slater emigrated to Norway.
International
For Canada , Slater took part in the 1924 Winter Olympics in Chamonix , where he won the gold medal with his team.
