Délice d'Argental

Délice d'Argental is a French vineyard cheese from Burgundy . It is made by hand from cow's milk. The addition of crème fraiche in the first phase of curdling the milk ensures a particularly high fat content - according to the German cheese ordinance, it is therefore a double-cream cheese. The cheese develops a creamy texture . This cheese has a soft, flowery rind that is yellowish-white in color. It is similar to the brie in both appearance and texture. The name is derived from the town of Argental an der Deume in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region .
