The Deume (sometimes also: Deûme , in the upper reaches: Déôme ) is a river in France that runs in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region . It has its source in the Pilat Regional Nature Park , in the municipality of Saint-Sauveur-en-Rue . The river initially runs in a northeastern direction, later in a southeastern direction. It crosses the city of Annonay and flows into its southern suburbs after a total of 29 kilometers as a left tributary into the Cance . On its way, the Deume crosses the Loire and Ardèche departments .
