The Dörner Bridge is a road bridge over the Wupper in the Wuppertal district of Barmen . The steel bridge from 1900 connects the street Zur Dörner Brücke north of the Wupper with the southern left bank of the river with the street Friedrich-Engels-Allee at the level of the opera house .

A footbridge already existed at this point in the 18th century and led to the old Dörner Hof. The decision to build the bridge was made in 1869. In 1858 the street was recorded in the address book as Dörner Brückenstraße, the name Zur Dörner Brücke was given in 1935.

The bridge was renovated from March to September 2008. The costs for this were 450,000 euros.
