The d-zentral.tv project was launched in 2004 by the German Rock Music Foundation as a follow-up project to “2. Aufschlag ”was launched. For six years, the d-central editorial team produced a monthly TV music magazine about the German music scene outside of the mainstream. Mostly unknown bands and artists were introduced through music videos, live recordings or CD reviews. D-Zentral has been offering media services in the field of video production since 2010.

In July 2004, d-central won the 2004 eMIL Award in the “Young Talent” category. The eMIL Award is a creative competition in the Hanover region.

d-Zentral offers the following audiovisual services:

The following projects are supported, among others:

  • PopCamp: Germany-wide band coaching project by the German Music Council. D-Zentral takes on the so-called 3rd work phase, in which music videos and EPKs are produced with the participating bands.
  • Showbox: Lower Saxony band coaching project of LAG Rock in Lower Saxony, in which EPKs and music videos are produced for the participating bands.
  • PopToGo
  • Planet Video is a band coaching project by LAG Rock in Lower Saxony
  • Local Heroes
  • Open Flair Festival: Production of live recordings, festival impressions and the official festival trailer. Here, d-Zentral has already worked with bands and artists such as The Hives , Korn , Deichkind , Die Ärzte and the Beatsteaks .
