DJ Franzen

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

DJ Franzen (* 1967 in Cologne ) is a German author. He lives and works with his second wife in his birthplace.

Artistic creation

After a few short stories and a space opera , all of which he published under the name Dirk Ganser, Franzen began to mix the different genres of fantasy . Science fiction and fantasy certainly have the largest share in his more recent works, but there are also borrowings from the classic adventure stories of his childhood and youth, with which he often moves a little away from the usual settings of dark fantasy in his texts.

As the concept inventor and synopsis editor of his twelve-volume pocket booklet series Armageddon, the search for Eden (published by Begedia-Verlag , together with the authors Ben B. Black and Dave Nocturn), he was one of the first German-speaking authors to describe the setting of the zombie apocalypse expanded to include the facets of mysticism, religion and science fiction. In this series of pocket booklets, Franzen had a zombie apocalypse played in Germany (especially in Cologne) instead of in the USA, as is usual in the genre.
