DW Wilson , actually David William Wilson (* 1985 in Cranbrook , British Columbia ), is a Canadian writer.

Life

Wilson grew up in various small towns in the Kootenays in British Colombia. The first stories appeared in literary magazines in England, USA and Canada. Today he lives in Cambridge , England.

Wilson studied creative writing at the University of East Anglia . His first novel , Ballistics , was first published in 2013 (German: Als alles began , dtv, Munich 2014)

Prizes and awards

  • 2011: BBC National Short Story Award for The Dead Roads from Once You Break a Knuckle
  • 2012: Shortlisted the Dylan Thomas Prize for Once You Break a Knuckle
  • First Literature Fellowship Man Booker Prize Fellowship from the University of East Anglia.
