DFB indoor cup 1989

The 1989 DFB Indoor Cup was held in the Westfalenhalle Dortmund, making it the second official event, and the third overall, of this competition. The field of participants has increased from six to eight teams compared to the previous year. The winner was Werder Bremen by a 6: 3 victory against VfB Stuttgart .

mode

The game was played in two groups with four teams each. The size of the polygrass artificial turf was 49 by 45 meters and was surrounded by a gang. The playing time was 2 times 12 minutes in the preliminary round and in the semi-finals, in the final and in the game for 3rd place 2 times 15 minutes. In the event of a draw, the winner was decided in an eight-meter shootout.
