The DIN standard DIN 7154 defines in part 1 ISO fits according to the standard bore fitting system , i.e. fits whose tolerance field always begins at the zero line (deviations from the nominal dimension equal to zero). Part 2 defines the associated tolerances, clearances and oversizes.

The tolerance fields of the inner fitting surfaces (z. B. bores ) for this are of fits with the capital letter H in.

A hole with the tolerance field H (standard hole) paired with a shaft with the tolerance field a to h results in a clearance fit , j to n a transition fit (clearance or oversize ) and p to z usually an oversize (interference fit or negative fit).
