DIN SPEC 67600

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The technical report DIN SPEC 67600 gives planning recommendations for biologically effective lighting. It was published by Beuth-Verlag in April 2013 .

Light not only enables seeing, it is also crucial for human health and wellbeing. It works visually, emotionally and biologically. Daylight or suitable artificial lighting ( Human Centric Lighting ) improve wellbeing and stabilize the circadian rhythm . In a complex form, the effect of light on the biological system is mainly related to the parameters light spectrum, light distribution, illuminance and their temporal sequences.

Due to the high requirements of such a lighting solution, DIN SPEC 67600 recommends holistic lighting planning. It can implement various aspects of good lighting - with regard to visual and non-visual effects as well as energy efficiency - and coordinate trades and materials. The planning recommendations take into account workplaces and non-workplaces. Rooms in which people spend a long time are predestined for biologically effective lighting, for example production facilities, offices, schools and care facilities.

DIN SPEC 67600 is a supplement to the visual requirements of other DIN standards and rules. The visual planning requirements are specified in the series of standards DIN 5035 and DIN EN 12464-1 and in the technical rules for workplaces (ASR 3.4). DIN SPEC 5031-100 from 2014 provides information on the melanopic effect factor of modern light sources.
