The DJK Waldberg is a football club from the Lower Franconian village of Waldberg (district of Rhön-Grabfeld).

history

The association was founded in 1953. In the first 35 years of its existence, the club played under-class. In 1993 he was promoted to the national league for the first time . There the club was runner-up in the 1998/99 season, but failed in the promotion games to the Bayern League . In the 2000/01 season, the club withdrew from playing during the season and started in the district league the next year.

The greatest sporting success was the qualification for the 1st main round for the DFB Cup 1997/98 , in which the reigning German champions FC Bayern Munich were defeated 1:16.
