DKBTrace
DKBTrace is a raytracer written in 1986 by Aaron A. Collins and David Buck , the source code of which was released in 1991 . The popular POV-Ray ray tracer was created on this basis .
DKBTrace initially ran on the Amiga , later also under MS-DOS and UNIX . It did not have a graphical user interface ; the scene was described with a special description language (Scene Description Language, SDL), which was then transferred to DKBTrace as a text file via the command line.
