DMS-J

The abbreviation DMS-J referred to the German team competition swimming the youth . This is a team competition for swimmers and is held in youth A (16/17 years) to youth D (10/11 years). In addition to the DMS , the DMS-J is the second major team competition in the sport of swimming, which is known as an individual sport. Unlike the DMS, the DMS-J are swum as a relay competition.
The club teams compete in the following disciplines:
- 4 × 100 meter freestyle
- 4 × 100 meter chest
- 4 × 100 meter back
- 4 × 100 meter butterfly (in youth Germany: 4 × 50 m butterfly)
- 4 × 100 meter layers
The competitions are held on one or two days (usually over a weekend) and take place in preliminary and final competitions according to regions and federal states. The German Swimming Association organizes a nationwide DSV final for which the twelve best boys and girls teams from youth D and C and the six best youth B and A teams from the final matches in the state qualify. If a relay is disqualified in a discipline due to a rule violation or gives up, it can repeat this route at the end of the competition section. If there is another disqualification, the team is eliminated.
Since 2011 the DMS-J have been held in November, so far it has been January and February.
