DOVO-Stahlwaren Bracht GmbH & Co. KG is a German company with headquarters in Solingen . The traditional area of the DOVO company has been producing razors for over 100 years with an extensive range of shells and knife shapes.
history
DOVO Solingen was founded in 1906 as "Dorp & Voos" after the names of the company bosses. Fritz Bracht, who took over the company in 1936, developed from the pure razor factory with forge and hollow grinding shop , a manufacture of fine cutlery with scissors, pliers and pocket knives. By taking over other brands, the range was expanded to include shaving supplies and the focus on high-quality manicure cases . In the family business of the Bracht and Kirschbaum family, which is still independent today, the majority of products are handcrafted at the headquarters in Solingen . On April 21, 2020, the company filed for bankruptcy after around 40 employees had previously been affected by short-time work.
