Manicure (from Latin manus 'hand') is the cosmetic care and treatment of the hands (hand care ). It includes:

  • the bathing of the hands in warm soapy water (three to five minutes)
  • cutting the fingernails ,
  • filing the fingernails,
  • removing dead cuticles,
  • polishing and / or painting the fingernails,
  • creaming the hands.
