The DSF Poker School was a bi-weekly broadcast format of the DSF , today Sport1. The aim of the program was to introduce newcomers to the card game of poker .

Each show had a specific basic topic that was explained for beginners. After an introduction, the four beginners who are in the studio were allowed to play a few hands . The viewer could watch the actions of the players closely because he saw the cards of the players. Later, the players' moves were analyzed by commentator Michael Körner and expert Eduard Scharf .
