The DT-24 ( Russian ДТ-24 ) is a Soviet tractor that was manufactured in the Vladimirsky Traktorny Zavod from 1955 to 1958. Three basic variants were made, DT-24-1, DT-24-2 and DT-24-3. They differ mainly in the front axle construction, the latter has only one front wheel and is designed for cotton cultivation. Between 1956 and 1958 a total of 17,300 copies of the DT-24-2 version were built.

technology

The tractor is driven by a water-cooled four-stroke diesel engine with swirl chamber injection and OHV valve control , which delivers an output of 17.7 kW. The drive power is transmitted from the engine to the rear axle via a five-speed gearbox with two additional reverse gears and two additional crawler gears. The differential gear of the rear axle can be locked. There is a transmission-independent PTO shaft for power take-off, which can be switched to route-dependent mode. A power lift of the type NS-37 is attached to connect implements to the tractor. When operated with the KRN-4,2 chopping machine , the DT-24 has a diesel fuel consumption of 5.62 kg / h in third gear.
