Dabakan

Dabakan is a single- headed tumbler drum in the Philippines , which is played particularly in the Kulintang ensemble.

Its body, which can also be counted among the hourglass drums due to its shape , consists of the wood of a jackfruit tree - or a coconut palm . The eardrum is made from the skin of a cow, snake, or lizard. The drum is struck with bamboo or rattan sticks .
