from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Dacia magazine . Revue d'archéologie et d'histoire ancienne (German: Dacia. Journal of Archeology and Ancient History ) is an archaeological journal from Romania .

The magazine was first published in 1924 by the Romanian historian and archaeologist Vasile Pârvan . The original title of the magazine was: Dacia - Recherches et découvertes archéologiques en Roumanie (German: Dacia - Research and archaeological finds in Romania). In the years from 1948 to 1957 the publication of the magazine was interrupted for political reasons and the difficult situation in Romania at the time. As a result, there is a so-called "old" and a "new series of publications". The journal is published today by the Vasile Pârvan Institute of Archeology of the Romanian Academy in Bucharest . The magazine is divided into four identical areas, in the languages: French, English, German and Russian.
