history
Since 1962 it has been active as a manufacturer and supplier in motorcycle construction and, after working closely with Kia and Honda, has become the largest motorcycle manufacturer in Korea. Daelim is also a supplier to the automotive industry and manufactures parts for Audi, Jaguar, Kia and Hyundai, among others. In 1986 the "DAELIM Research & Development Center" was opened and Daelim was the first manufacturer worldwide to offer a keyless control concept for scooters. In order to open up new branches of business, Daelim took over Sunglim Machinery in March 2000. This company specializes in the manufacture of parts for many two and four wheeled vehicles. Sunglim Machinery produces core components such as carburetors, shock absorbers, chains and braking systems. The sales network spreads all over the world.
