Daelim Industrial is a South Korean construction and plant engineering company.
The construction of industrial plants contributed 41.7% to sales in 2014, the construction of petrochemical plants (especially polyethylene , polybutylene and BOPP film ) with 17.7% , general building construction with 25.9% and 14.7 % % of the construction of infrastructure (bridges, dams).
history
Daelim was founded in 1939 as a small building materials warehouse. During the Second World War, Daelim became the leading company in the timber trade. With the first five-year economic development plan under Park Chung-hee , the company turned to the construction industry and built the Gyeongbu Expressway and Gyeongin Expressway as general contractor . With the construction of the state-owned POSCO steel mills in the 1970s, Daelim also became a leading plant construction company.
