The Daikin Airconditioning Germany GmbH is based in Unterhaching near Munich was founded in 1998 and distributes air conditioning systems for the private market, the trade and industry. The Germany subsidiary of DAIKIN Industries Ltd. is the market leader in Germany in the field of split and VRV air conditioning technology.
The company currently has eight independent industrial and management areas:

The establishment of the DAIKIN Europe NV production facility in Ostend / Belgium in 1973 was the first step into the European market. Today over 80% of the devices for European customers are produced in Europe. In September 2004, the production of split indoor and outdoor units began on a total area of 12 ha in Pilsen , Czech Republic .
The research and development department established in Oostende , Belgium , is particularly oriented towards the country-specific conditions in Europe. This is where the electronics, the compressors and the refrigerants are developed and manufactured in-house.
