The Daimler L21 or Daimler-Klemm L21 was a light twin-engine, single-seat high- wing sports aircraft that was built in Germany .
development
Hanns Klemm designed the L21 for the " German round flight 1925 for the BZ price of the air ". Since initially only aircraft with an engine output of 40 hp were approved for this, but only the Daimler F 7502 drive with 20 hp was available to him, he designed the L21 made of wood with two engines. Daimler provided him with two pairs of aircraft engines with propellers rotating in opposite directions . Two copies were built D–622
and D–623
registered as and . In the meantime, three performance classes had been set up for the participating aircraft and aircraft under 40 hp had been approved. The L21 started in group A up to 40 hp. The winner was Bruno Loerzer with the D–623
. Daimler received the Richthofen Prize for the best German engine.
