Dainius Petras Paukštė

Dainius Petras Paukštė (born June 10, 1953 in Vilnius ) is a Lithuanian politician.

Life

After graduating from high school in 1971, Paukštė graduated from the Vilniaus universitetas with a law degree in 1980 . In 1971 he was a locksmith in the company in Vilnius. From 1971 to 1973 he did compulsory service in the Soviet Army . From 1990 to 1998 he headed the trade union federation Lietuvos Vietinio ūkio ir paslaugų darbuotojų profsąjungų federacija . In 2000 he was a member of the Seimas . From 2001 he worked in the Ministry of Interior of Lithuania . From 1997 to 2002 he was a member of the Vilnius Municipality Council .

From 1986 to 1990 he was a member of the CPSU , from 1993 of Lietuvos socialdemokratų partija , from 1999 of “Socialdemokratija - 2000” , from 2003 deputy chairwoman of LSDS.
