Daishi Katō ( Japanese 加藤 大志 Katō Daishi ; born July 26, 1983 in Saitama Prefecture ) is a former Japanese football player .

Career

Kato learned to play soccer on the school team at Toko Gakuen High School . He signed his first contract with Shonan Bellmare in 2002 . The club played in the second highest league in the country, the J2 League . For the club he completed 94 league games. In 2005 he moved to league rivals Kyoto Purple Sanga (today: Kyoto Sanga FC). In 2005 he was with the club master of the J2 League and rose to the J1 League . At the end of the 2006 season, the club was relegated to the J2 League. At the end of the 2007 season, the club rose again to the J1 League. For the club he completed 72 league games. In 2009 he moved to the second division Yokohama FC . For the club he completed 13 league games. At the end of 2009 he ended his career as a football player.
