Dalgaards Østerhøj

On Dalgaards Østerhøj (alternative spellings: Østerhøi, Østerhöi) or “Trinddorris” there is a burial mound with a stone box that is now exposed . The site is located west of Lødderup Nord, a place near Nykøbing Mors on the Danish island of Mors . It is located on private property and is not open to the public. The hill and stone box were examined privately in 1868, and publicly in 1873 and especially in 1920.

When stones digging on the hill three people found in 1868 one about 1.85 meters long and one meter wide northeast-southwest oriented closed stone box ( Danish Light box ) with a (secondary) Bronze Age burial including a bronze sword, fragments of some Tutuli (decorative buttons) from bronze , a Double button as well as a larger gold ring and a smaller gold spiral ring.

In 1920 a flint dagger was found in the box . In front of the box were a spearhead, flint arrowheads and three amber beads .
