history
As an administrative unit, Daliang is still very young. Today's large community goes back to two people's communes that were founded in 1958 in today's villages of Daliang and Shuangshu. In 1983 the two people's communes were dissolved and converted into municipalities . In 1990, Daliang was promoted to a large parish. In 1996, Daliang Township had an area of 41 km² and a population of 26,000 people, while Shuangshu Township had an area of 37 km² and a population of 16,000. In 2001, Shuangshu Township was finally dissolved and its villages integrated into Daliang Township.
