Dalla (magazine)

Dalla was a children's and youth magazine that was published in 1953 and 1954. With the publication of domestic and foreign comics , which often appeared as a sequel, it was the first magazine of its kind in Germany.

Publication and content

Dalla was created in 1953 from the children's supplement der Welt am Sonnabend ( WASO ), which was produced by the Düsseldorf publisher of the same name. If the first subtitle was conquered the youth , it was changed in issue 11 to Die illustrated Zeitung für die Jugend ; with issue 23 there was another change in the subtitle, which from then on was Colorful Leaves for the Young World . The format was also changed with the same booklet. Dalla was discontinued in 1954. The name giver for the magazine was the figure of the "film reporter" Dalla from the world on Saturday .

Not only domestic comics such as Bob Heinz ' Hein Mück, der Seemann , but also European comics such as Hergé's The Black Island and Suske and Wiske by Willy Vandersteen were printed as serial stories. Paul Cuvelier's Corentin was published in Dalla under the title Florian . Raymond Macherot was also represented in Dalla .
