Damasias (Archon)
Damasias ( Greek Δαμασίας ) was founded in 582 BC. Elected eponymos for the Athenian Archon .
In the year before his election, no archon eponymos was elected, possibly because of civil war-like conditions . When the one-year term of office of Damasias expired, he stayed in office anyway until he was forcibly removed from office after 2 years and two months. Ten archons, five eupatrids , three "men from the country" and two "craftsmen" were elected for the remaining 10 months .
