Damasichthon (King of Thebes)
Damasichthon ( Greek Δαμασίχθων Damasíchthōn ) is a king of Thebes in Greek mythology .
He is the son of Opheltes , the grandson of Peneleus and the father of Ptolemy . When Autesion , the king of Thebes , had to leave the city after an oracle, Damasichthon was appointed as his successor. After Damasichthon his son Ptolemy took over the government.
