Damophon (tyrant)
Damophon ( Greek Δαμοφῶν ), the tyrant of Pisa in the Peloponnese , committed atrocities against the Eleans . After his death, the Pisaer distanced themselves from the acts of the tyrant. The Eleans selected 16 wise and respected women from 16 cities, who now brought about an agreement between the Eleans and the Pisaers. These 16 women became the servants of Hera in Olympia .
