Dan Krunnfusz

Dan Krunnfusz (* 1955 ) is an American choir director and composer.

The son of music teacher Gordon Krunnfusz studied music education at the University of Wisconsin – Madison (Masters and Bachelor). He then worked as a music teacher and led choirs in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Alaska, Florida and Mississippi. For fourteen years he directed the Madison Boychoir , with which he a. a. realized the world premieres of Les Thimmig's Holy Cow (1997), Stephen Paulus ' Brown Penny (1998) and Taras Nahirniak's Hodie . The choir worked u. a. has performed with the Madison Symphony Orchestra , the Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra , the Madison Children's Choir, and the Wisconsin Youth Symphony Orchestra and has appeared on Wisconsin Public Radio .

Furthermore, Krunnfusz is co-founder and director of the Baraboo Area Children's Choir . He has conducted various all-state choirs at festivals and in 2000 the ADCA Southern Division Jr. High Honor's Choir . He is also active as a composer and arranger. Among other things, he composed the Mass in Times of Struggle a cappella for the Britten Choir . His duet Bound fot the Promised Land appeared in print as an arrangement for different instruments.
