Dan Rhodes

Dan Rhodes (born 1972 in the United Kingdom ) is a British author.

Dan Rhodes studied creative writing at the University of Glamorgan , was a teacher in Ho Chi Minh City , bartender in his parents' pub and worked on a fruit and vegetable farm.

He is married and lives in Scotland .

Works

In German, Timoleon returns (Timoleon Vieta come home: A Sentimental Journey, 2003) and Lady Di or The Little White Car (The Little White Car, 2004), which he first published under the pseudonym Danuta de Rhodes , are available. Not yet published in German are: Anthropology: and a hundred other stories (2000) and Don't Tell Me The Truth About Love (2001), Gold (2007).

Honors

"Anthropology" was shortlisted for the Macmillan Silver Pen Award . "Timoleon Returns" won the 2004 QPB New Voices Award , the Authors' Club First Novel Award and was shortlisted for the Prince Maurice Prize and the John Llewellyn Rhys Prize .
