Dana Claire Lisa Simpson (* 23. April 1977 in Pullman , Washington as David Craig Simpson ) is an American comic book artist .

Simpson published her works at different times under different variants of her name: under her male maiden name David [Craig] Simpson, under her current female name Dana [Claire] Simpson and under the short form DC Simpson.

From the beginning of 1998 to December 2008 Simpson published the webcomic Ozy and Millie, which she created during the same period . Essential agent of the often absurd or surreal -looking comic strips are the difficulties of young students is that not the social norm sector.

From January 2004 to June 2008 Simpson published a second, purely politically oriented comic strip entitled I Drew This , in which, among other things, she strongly criticized the then American administration under George W. Bush . Since April 22, 2012 Simpson has been drawing the daily webcomic Fibi and her unicorn . The main characters of this comic are a girl about 10 years old and a unicorn.
