The Dana Cup in Hjørring is Denmark 's largest sporting event, the third largest youth football tournament in the world and with over 1000 teams from over 50 countries. The youth soccer tournament with the most foreign teams in the world.

Since the Dana Cup was founded in 1982, more than 20,000 participants are expected at this event.

Participation is open to boys and girls from the age of eleven (or 13 years for girls) to 19 years of age. The game is played with seven or eleven players, depending on age. The first round takes place in the "everyone against everyone" system , the second round takes place in the knockout system . The games are played on around 50 grass pitches in and around Hjørring.
