Dana Milbank (born April 27, 1968 ) is an American political reporter . He writes articles for the Washington Post about the White House .

Milbank graduated from the Yale University from where he as a member of the student connection Skull & Bones was recorded. He covered the 2000 US Presidential Election and is the author of the book Smash Mouth: Two Years in the Gutter with Al Gore and George W. Bush - Notes from the 2000 Campaign Trail . He also wrote about the 2004 presidential election in which both candidates ( George W. Bush and John Kerry ) were "Skull and Bones" members.

In a high-profile article on the front page of the Washington Post on October 22, 2002, Milbank wrote about two allegations by Bush against Iraq. On the one hand through his statement that Iraq is only six months away from producing nuclear weapons and on the other hand that Iraq has a growing number of unmanned missiles. Milbank notes in his article that these claims are doubtful, if not false.
