Danai Anesiadou (* 1973 or * 1975 or * 1976 or * 1977 in Pirmasens ) is a German performance artist .

life and work

Anesiadou studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Ghent and completed the postgraduate program in theater and dance studies at the DasArts Theater School in Amsterdam .

“My name is Danai Anesiadou. My name is Danai Anesiadou. ”The artist introduces almost all performances with this sentence, which is called out over and over again. At documenta 14 she exhibited the work It Will Not Happen for It to Happen (2017).
