Daniel Althaus (born 1978 ) is a German archivist and historian .

Life

He studied at the Philosophical Faculty of the University of Göttingen and graduated in 2006 with a treatise on poachers in Solling and the attempt to combat them in the 18th and 19th centuries . He received his doctorate in 2001 with a thesis on his home region, which deals with the history of glass production there.

Althaus is employed as the city archivist and museum director in Uslar. He is involved in the Solling Association , of which he is the 2nd chairman, and in the museum and cultural association of his home town of Ahlbershausen . He also works as a hunter Hackelberg as a city ​​guide in Uslar .
