Ahlbershausen is the smallest district of Uslar in the Northeim district , Lower Saxony ( Germany ). 134 inhabitants live in the village south of Uslar .

location

Ahlbershausen is located in southern Lower Saxony, around 5 km south of the city center of Uslar and 8 km (as the crow flies ) south-east of the Bodenfelde area . The district town of Northeim is 25 km (as the crow flies) northeast, the city of Göttingen around 20 km east-southeast.

Ahlbershausen is located on the extreme southern foothills of the Solling or the extreme northern foothills of the Bramwald southwest above the valley of the Schwülme , which is an eastern tributary of the Weser . At about 160  m above sea level. NN located in a small valley, the village is surrounded by meadows and fields. The predominantly wooded mountain ranges that extend around Ahlbershausen reach up to 344.1  m above sea level with the Heuberg in the west of the Kiffing ridge . NN and to the east in the southeast part of the Solling mountain Bramburg (not to be confused with the Bramburg ) up to 461  m altitude.

The place has the postcode 37170, the license plate number NOM and the phone code 05571.

history

The first documentary mention of Ahlbershausen in a certificate from Heinrich IV dated to 1071 as Alb Dreheshusen is partly ascribed to the former village and today's domain of Albrechtshausen in the municipality of Katlenburg-Lindau . The assignment of some mentions is difficult because of the similarity of names. From the first half of the 13th century there are written references to a Heinricus de Albretheshusen or de Albereshusen named after the village .

In 1784 19 fireplaces were listed in Ahlbershausen; the place was the smallest in the Uslar office at that time.

In the late 18th and early 19th centuries, coffee was roasted in Ahlbershausen and partly smuggled into the neighboring Kurhessian area, where the consumption of coffee was temporarily prohibited. This fact led to the fact that, among other things, a coffee pot is listed in the local coat of arms and the community was nicknamed the coffee town of Ahlbershausen .

Since the territorial reform of March 1, 1974, the formerly independent municipality has belonged to the newly founded large municipality of Uslar.

Culture and sights

Ahlbershausen chapel

chapel

Ahlbershausen has a small half-timbered chapel that was only built in 1893. With the clinker brick infills of the layered framework, the pointed windows and partly floor-to-ceiling, partly inserted in the middle compartments, the simple building shows clear style elements of the construction period, but overall it is clearly linked to the tradition of the numerous half-timbered chapels of the 18th and early 19th centuries in the Uslar area on. The chapel serves as a place of worship for the local Evangelical Lutheran Christians.

societies

The local fire brigade was founded in Ahlbershausen in 1924 and provides fire protection and general help. The Ahlbershausen voluntary fire brigade does not have its own youth fire brigade , but operates the Schoningen youth fire brigade together with the Schoningen fire brigade. In 2018, the Ahlbershausen local fire brigade was assigned to the Verliehausen local fire brigade (neighboring town) as a fire fighting group.

Infrastructure

Ahlbershausen is connected to the east-southeast of Göttingen via Adelebsen on the L 554 state road , which comes from the north of Uslar . The next motorway junctions are on the A 7 in Northeim, Nörten-Hardenberg and Göttingen. There are regular bus connections in the direction of Uslar and Göttingen. The next regional train stations or regional stops are in Wesertal - Vernawahlshausen , Uslar- Allershausen and Uslar- Offensen .

economy

There are no industrial companies in Ahlbershausen. Even the tourism does not matter. Because agriculture, with the exception of a poultry farm, is becoming increasingly insignificant, most of the workers have to commute to the surrounding villages.
