NHN high Glaseberg north of the village and the 315 m high Knobben, a side knoll of the Strutberg . history
It is not known when Eschershausen was founded. The first documentary mention is also difficult to determine, as many documents can also refer to Eschershausen in the Holzminden district. Most likely, mentions from documents from 1244, in which a place called Eschericheshusen or Eschershusen prope Uslariam is mentioned, refer to Eschershausen near Uslar. In the feudal book of Duke Otto von Northeim from 1318 the name Eschershusen appears. In the past and still today, Eschershausen has always had a rural character. Before the last war, due to the good location on the Solling, some homeowners began to be interested in tourism.
Since March 1st, 1974 Eschershausen belongs to the city of Uslar.
