history
Since the Christianization, the area of today's church district was in the archdeaconate of Nörten . Due to its location in the Principality of Calenberg , the Reformation took place here in the 16th century .
The communities in the other villages of Nörten-Hardenberg used to be affiliated with Marienstein and are now part of the Göttingen church district. No parishes from Bad Gandersheim and the former parish of Kreiensen belong to the parish of Leine-Solling, as they used to be in the Duchy of Braunschweig . Kalefeld is now part of the Osterode parish, as it used to be in the Westerhof office east of the Archdeaconate Einbeck .
After the Second World War, the church districts of Einbeck, Northeim and Uslar existed. These were merged in 2001 as part of the church district reform to form today's church district.
