Daniel Dombrowski

Daniel A. Dombrowski (* 1953 in Philadelphia ) is an American professor of philosophy at Seattle University . His main research interests are the history of philosophy , the philosophy of religions and ethics . He publishes a journal on process theology , Process Studies ( ISSN  0360-6503 ).

In his publications he defends a political liberalism after John Rawls from a Catholic process theological perspective. He has developed a defense against abortion and written an overview of the borderline arguments in animal ethics and euthanasia . He defends a moral duty to the vegetarian life and has examined premodern approaches to vegetarian ethics in a publication. His influences in this direction are Peter Singer's Animal Liberation , as a first contact, as well as deepening the work of James Rachel and Dale Jamieson . Other works fall into the field of the aesthetics of sport and Plato's philosophy of history .
