Yuri Prokhorenko
Jurij Serhijowytsch Prokhorenko ( Ukrainian Юрій Сергійович Прохоренко , Eng. Transcription Yuriy Prokhorenko ; * 9. March 1951 in Kirovohrad ) is a former Soviet pole vaulter .
At the European Athletics Indoor Championships in 1975 he was sixth.
In 1976 he won the European Indoor Championships in Munich and was tenth at the Olympic Games in Montreal .
In 1978 he was fourth at the European Indoor Championships in Milan , in 1980 he was eliminated from the Olympic Games in Moscow without a valid attempt.
In 1976 and 1979 he was the Soviet indoor champion.
