Daniel Fischer (astronomer)
Daniel Fischer (born September 27, 1964 ) is a German astronomer , non-fiction author and science journalist . As the operator of Astronomy - Blogs Skyweek he reports on current activities in astronomy and space travel . In his first literary work, Fischer wrote about the comet Shoemaker-Levy 9 in 1994 on behalf of a Swiss publisher .
In 1997 he was awarded the Bruno H. Bürgel Prize of the Astronomical Society for his contribution to popularizing astronomy . The Web TV format Sternstunde Fischer informed as editor since 2009 on current sky events, as well as technological developments in astronomy.
Since 2012, Daniel Fischer is responsible for the project team of Public Telescope ( Space Telescope ) the development of monitoring programs for amateur astronomers in the visible spectral region .
