Daniel Jobst Müller

Daniel Jobst Müller (born March 22, 1965 in Bad Wimpfen , Germany) is Professor of Biophysics at ETH Zurich .

Life

Daniel Jobst Müller studied physics at the Technical University of Berlin from 1986 to 1993 and was a visiting student at the Weizmann Institute of Science in Israel from 1989 to 1990 . In 1994 he received a research grant in biophysics at the Biozentrum of the University of Basel and completed his doctorate in 1997.

From 1997 to 2000 Daniel Müller worked as a research assistant at the Biozentrum Basel, where he completed his habilitation in biophysics in 2000 . From 2000 onwards, Müller worked as a scientific group leader at the Max Planck Institute for Molecular Cell Biology and Genetics . With the completion (new building) of the Max Planck Institute, Müller moved to Dresden in 2001. In 2002 Daniel Müller took over the professorship for cellular machines at the Technical University of Dresden . The biotechnological center was set up, into which Daniel Müller moved in 2004 with his scientific working group. In April 2010, Müller took over the professorship for biophysics at the ETH Zurich . In 2016, Müller was elected to the European Molecular Biology Organization .
