Daniel Keim

Daniel A. Keim (* in Gelsenkirchen ) is a German computer scientist and professor at the University of Konstanz . He received his doctorate from the University of Munich in 1994. He was a lecturer at Martin Luther University Halle and conducted research in the AT&T Shannon Research Labs in Florham Park .

His focus is on databases , data mining and information visualization . Keim is editor of the IEEE Transactions on Knowledge and Data Engineering (TKDE) and the Information Visualization Journal .
