Sidney Saunders

Sidney Saunders (* 13. May 1894 in England ; † 21st November 1967 in Orange , Orange County , California , United States ) was an American film technicians , who at the Oscar ceremony in 1934 the so-called Oscar for technical merit ( Technical Achievement Award ) received.

biography

Saunders worked as a film technician at Fox Film Corporation and RKO Radio and was on the staff of the filming of King Kong and the White Woman in 1933 .

In 1934 he and Fred Jackman of Warner Bros. received the Oscar for technical merits "for the development and effective use of the translucent cellulose screen in composite photography".
