Daniel Walchshofer

Daniel Walchshofer (born January 20, 1994 ) is an Austrian badminton player . He is Austrian champion and was vice state champion with the team of BSC 70 Linz .

Career as a player

In his youth he came in 2013 in the U19 age group alongside Simon Rebhandl at the Austrian U19 Championships in Weiz. At the regional association level, he won a total of four national championship titles in the U19 and U22 categories.

In March 2016, he won the U22 state championship title alongside Wolfgang Gnedt in the double competition in Pressbaum, Lower Austria. Since 2013 he has been the team captain of the second team of the BSC 70 Linz and won four national championship titles with them.

In September 2017 he was able to win the men's singles competition in the general class of the Askö national championships.

Career as a coach

Walchshofer looked after the offspring of the BSC 70 Linz from 2011 to 2015. During this time, two national championship titles fell and also a nomination for the ÖBV talent squad. Since 2015 he has been training as regional trainer for the northern region of the Austrian Badminton Association for children in the U13 age group of the federal states of Upper Austria and Salzburg. He is a trained instructor in Austrian badminton.
