The Pearson Peak is a rocky mountain at the Ruppert Coast of the West Antarctic Marie Byrd lands . It rises on the ridge between Land Glacier and Paschal Glacier at a distance of 1.5 km south of McGaw Peak .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it based on its own surveys and aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1959 to 1965. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1966 after Herbert E. Pearson, geomagnetic and seismologist in the United States Antarctic Research Program on the Byrd Station in 1963.
