The Ruppert Coast is a stretch of coast of the West Antarctic Marie Byrd Land , which lies between Brennan Point and Cape Burks .
The American polar explorer Richard Evelyn Byrd named the coast after the entrepreneur Jacob Ruppert (1867-1939), then owner of the baseball team of the New York Yankees and supporter of his second Antarctic expedition (1933-1935), in which Byrd flew over this stretch of coast. The United States Geological Survey mapped the coast using the United States Navy's own measurements and aerial photographs between 1959 and 1965.
